please help, in my lesson i carnt keep my feet still in rising trot and its buggin me somthing rotten how can i make sure my feet dont dance around

Cazza this could be happening because you are not in balance through the rise- or you are gripping in the rise- both common faults. Or you could have a loose lower leg position because of your own musculature. Are you quite muscley in the thigh? So really need more information before I could tell you whats going wrong- a video would be perfect or more desription.

Also check length of your stirrups for your next lesson- if they are too long you may wobble!!!

is it true about putting your stirrup under your arm that the buckle of the leathwers should be at your wrist? thanx guys i shall let you know on sunday about the video

Hi Cazza, the tips of the fingers to my armpit tends to work for me. Also have you tried standing whilst trotting? It helps me to keep the weight down into my stirrups, to find the right position for my legs and improves balance.
