Its a rather odd question but basically ive got a GPA titanium, which has the vents up the front of it. I love the hat, so nice and light, doesnt make my head look like a monsterous mushroom, but...
A few years ago i had quite a bad accident whilst wearing it, i got knocked unconscious. Ive also fallen off considerably since then whilst wearing it but regardless of the weather, at the front where the vents are my hair gets quite sweaty.
It never used too, could it be due to the protection inside the hat no longer allowing air to ventilate?

OMG time for a new hat! You have fallen in it and banged your head, you must get it replaced.
I know they are not cheap, and its a pain, but this is your head! No head - no you.

Maesseren I agree with salexisj you must get a new hat. After one fall and knock you are supposed to replace them otherwise next time you fall off you may not be lucky. That is probably why the ventilation isn't working as it's knackered. Don't gamble with your head. Jockey skulls cost about 40 pounds [cheaper if you buy the childrens one which is just as good] it's a small price to pay.
My friend got a head injury when she came off her horse. She was told by the doctors that her hat saved her life. We all had a look at the hat after, you could see a huge dent in the protection foam that was compressed by the fall as a result of shock absorption. If the hat wasn't a good fit or damaged previously then she would have sustained a serious head injury. Even my motorbike helmet thats even bigger and has lots of padding in has to be replaced after every fall.
Sorry to harp on I'm just concerned x

PLEASE Mae, get a new hat. It's absolutely classic - you MUST replace it after a fall even if it seems fine (although yours isn't if it's not ventilating). Get a skull or a Troxel in the meantime - I like Troxels and they are only around £40. Borrow the money if you have to but GET A NEW ONE! (There, I've done my bossy mummy bit ;D) And to everyone else who might have a bit of an old hat - they are like motorbike helmets, they do degrade with age. So if there is even little tiny damage, or even if it's just been around a while - REPLACE IT!
