Faith does that! She practically sat on my knee in her stable back home once when she got a bit carried away!

Just reading this Spotti- my first thought static electricity- do you get little electric shocks brushing your hair/closing a car door etc?? Anyway, you answered that one with the wellies! I am so sorry that Faith is still poorly, I think she will be much better when she gets her check up and new saddle but its good she is back to liking her massage.

I've worn my 'other' shoes (the bad ones that cause shocks) again since though and not got a shock...must have just been odd conditions...my wellies are warmer though (never again having wellies without wellywarmer! Whoever invented them is a genius!) And me too - I'm glad she doesn't act like she hates/is terrified of me now. I know she's not scared of me, but its heartbreaking enough to see my very much loved hairy baby in pain and then when I can't do anything to help because it hurts her/makes her scared just makes the hearbreak worse!!! She seems more 'herself' now (and asked to go on a short wander around the edges of the yard this morning, which she hasn't been bothered about for a couple of days) and she's letting me cuddle and fuss her again - I'm just being very gentle. I can't wait for her saddle but I'm more excited about the chiropractor coming out. Hopefully she can put us right and thats that...I'm hoping there's nothing more to it that tight muscles and a slightly titled pelvis... *fingers crossed* If it is worse then *shrugs* - we've been through lots already so what difference is another issue to work through? We'll get there one day (I'll just borrow other peoples ponios in the mean time lol)

Spotti- the awful thing about having a horse with a bad back is that excercise and riding actually help the horse develop the muscles to help their backs but obviously you can't do that when they are in pain so its a vicious circle. Actually that is only one of the many awful things about having a horse with a bad back! As you know only too well. Keep optimistic, you chiro will help and then you new saddle will arrive so that combination and a summer of riding could turn things right way around. Fingers and everything crossed for you

I have my fingers crossed too I know it CAN work - just look at you and JB - we just need to work through from start to finish and make sure we don't miss anything out along the way...
