Hey!!! Some of you may know i'm currently at Micheal Whitakers yrad for work experiance, and after every ride, they wipe them over with warm water with a splash of surgical spirit for livestock in it. This makes there coat lovely! i was wondering if any of you know if i can do the same for tarmi, but with cold water?

interesting...have you asked the purpsoe of it?
I have heard of it used for toughening up the skin around the girth area to help prevent girth galls....Witch hazel too

so I guess you wouldnt want to use it on horses who live out too much as it would strip their natural coat grease - I bet those horses are in most of the time?

It will keep the flies at bay too but not sure Id want to strip the oils from their coat. Maybe it cuts down on grooming???
