Hi everyone I hope you are all well and happy. Its going to take me ages to go through all the posts since I was last here. Sadly I can no longer ride and have been down in the dumps for months on end . Even looking at horses has been difficult and Ive just tried to shut out everything that involves them since my boy went. I'm now looking forward to hearing all about your acheivements over the past year.
Best wishes luc x

Thanks Scatty I've had a year of surgery and thankfully I'm in remission now, but who knows ? Parting with my boy was harder than all the surgery but he was only a youngster and needed to be in work and I just couldnt cope with everything. I had to let him go for his sake. I tried to find a sharer/loaner but had no luck and he was just going to waste in the field. I miss him so much but it was the right thing to do for him and there are times when you just have to bite the bullet and let them go. Hope you are happy and your ned healthy Best Wishes lucx

Lucinda, it's lovely to have you back It's brilliant that you are in remission, try and stay positive - onward and upward pet. My aunte has just got one of her breasts removed, it's difficult I know but stick in there & remember we are here for you . x

Lucinda, glad to have you back, loads of reading and catching up to do on here, as Danny said its brilliant that you are now in remission and you have so much to look forward to. When down south one of the ladies on the yard had to go for chemo for breast cancer, she was back riding after about 6 months, although her horse was an elderly gent, but after the initial fear of getting back on, she loved her gentle hacks out.

Echo the above. You poor thing losing your horse (as well as everything else) I knew a lady who used to go hunting who was in remission. She had lost all her hair through chemo and used to just wear a headscarf under her hat. I think people like her and yourself are such an example. Best wishes
