How much do they charge to check the fit? I know if my saddle needs altered we will have to buy the plate but do they charge for checking it?
Have just checked online to make sure the saddler we use is a proper saddle fitter and he is, so thats that sorted.

our saddler was really good- £30 each, she re-flocked saddles and watched us ride eery time we changed the flocking to make sure it was ok, and gave horses a mini back massage/check

Just checked the fit on him tonight and it isnt putting any pressure where your knees go - only place is along the back and there is daylight right the way through. Only thing that could be wrong is that he had put on some fat on his spine making the saddle sit higher than when it was fitted.

My saddle fitter will charge £20 to come out and check the fit. Or for a full reflocking (pure new wool) and fitting it is £85.00

Blimey the lady I've got coming next week is £40 plus whatever needs doing. She is the only one I could find in my area though.
