I bought a wintec dressage girth which has elestic in the middle. It is a lovely girth but I found it difficult to get it tight enough. I find with my treeless saddles that it is very important to have the girth snug as otherwise everything shifts and I got fed up dismounting a few times during a session to re fix everything. ( I don't think there is anything wrong with the girth I just don't have great upper body strenght and a girth not being tight doesn't matter so much with a treed saddle) I then got a thoroughgood dressage girth which has elestic both ends. Perhaps not as good for the horse but so far I have managed to get it pulled up enough . Both are synthetic by the way and both are fairly cheap and easy to clean and let air through etc. Hope this means you'll be riding soon. BTW - I clicked on your shortcut and got 2 dvds???

Hmm...I'll check the link lol...how odd, it was the girth-page when I copied the link! Strange ebay! This is hopefully the girth I'm looking at cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270302544879. ***the link doesn't work directly, you have to copy and paste it for some reason... ) I would quite like a synthetic one as they're much easier to clean etc but I think I'm in love with this Frank Baines one...it looks so yummy!!! (I think I'm developing quite an expensive taste in horsey stuff as I won't touch cheap imitation stuff anymore after what it has done to Faith in the past...but its hard to tell real from fake so generally the good stuff is expensive! lol. I am so bad...oh dear ). And hopefully we'll get a chance to ride soon...we have the freeform saddle now but no girth (hence the ebay shopping!) - just need the all-clear from the chiropractor and then we an start some in-hand stuff, then longreining and muscle-building stuff and then slowly introduce ridden work again. Atleast that's the plan... We can always do in-hand showing or just general pootling about in-hand if everything goes belly up Faith's show name "Gotta Have Faith" is exactly what I'm doing God I love that pony

I have a Profesional Choice girth and I love it. When I was trying out a treeless Heather Moffett saddle they recommended the PC girth with it. It's neoprene with elastic at both ends Zx

I use the torsion neophrane (sp) ones and there great. About £20 each and fit the freewest fine too and nicely padded. I also have used an airborn waffle style one with the buckles that move but I am not so keen on that one (the buckles as the waffle style is great) although it does hold them in place well as the buckles can be tightened accordingly and counteract each other

Thanks for that guys I had a brain wave earlier and thought about just buying a girth from freeform (DUH! ) and have been having a nosey at theirs and they sound better than the gorgeous one I'm in love with AND they're cheaper...oh but that other one is soooooooo yummy!!

My shopaholic mate bought a very beautiful leather Stubben girth but sadly it rubbed sores on every horse we tried it on. I find neoprene very good...
