Hi i ride loui in a continental snaffle at the moment jumping on the seccond hole. but showjumping today she seemed to be messing with her mouth when i took contact. it does stop her from jumping but i do want her to be comfortable when doing so. She is quite strong and i find it hard to turn even if i have her under control. Is there any other bit that anyone can advise me to try?
thanx sarah x

It could be the mouthpiece - is it jointed? If so, try a french link or a straight bar mouthpiece.

If you are having trouble turning then a fulmer snaffle used with the fulmer loops will help, using the loops also gives a slight poll action.

I have seen a cheltenham gag with cheeks on it which might help you - brakes and steering in one!
