Ok, having a major senior moment here, and slight indecisive moment ...
Tweed or Black for dressage? Ive seen most people wear tweed, so would that be more correct?

I have an aversion to tweed as it makes me look dumpy- black is more elegant I think unless you are a waif!

Black for pure dressage, tweed for eventing dressage (well at the lower levels)
Black is far more elegant and I think gives a better over all picture.

I have both, got the tweed for my BHS stages, and my £30 black jacket for everything else. - From countrywide a fair few years ago. Fits fine etc though, so is all good! ;D
Thanks guys, i usually wear black with her, but when i see loads of people wearing tweed it kinda confused me a little!

I have a navy Caldene jacket that cost me nothing. Man down the road had one. Its a bit long lengthwise and sleeves but it doesnt match my new velvet hat (they only had black!! grrr) so will probly have to wear skull cap and navy cover. Also Princess is more of a tweed sort and so I have to wear navy when going to shows. shouldnt complain though! i got a jacket for free!

I always wear black for dressage, although my tweed jacket is nicer so I am not sure why I wear black!

Black is what i wear, but i started this thread as many people seemed to wear tweed. Black seems as though it is the most correct though.

I wear tweed as I can't afford a black jacket for dressage aswell! Me too! Have two lovely tweeds. One I have had over 20yrs the other I was lucky enough to spot second hand. If I spot a black, second hand that i like then I will bite the bullet and get it, pennies allowing. Long long time since I have just done pure dressage. If fal eventually loads in a lorry then I'm sure i will have great fun doing it again.

When talking about body protectors I think i mentioned the squishy bits. Those of yours get squished by body armour. Yes am small across back but need it larger in other areas. Would be most greatful if you could fit in a jacket hunt in your what must be hectic life at mo. Am not in a hurry. One of my jackets is a 12 the other a 14 but I do have arms the length of a Gibbons. I quite like the togs (pity not shown worn) and ofcourse I like the mears.
