Its OH's birthday on Sunday and other than a trip to Alton Towers I've got him NOTHING. And got no idea what to get him. Help. So what would you buy for... A 33 year old police officer. He's not really into films or games. Bit of an outdoorsy person. We've got things like new camera, camcorder etc. He quite likes gadget type things - got him a RC helicopter for xmas which he loved (but broke!!) He's just bl**dy awkward really. Any ideas please I'm running out of time. Oh budget about £80.

men are soooo difficult to buy for ....
What about a Leatherman pocket multi-tool/knife? Very handy for the outdoor types and more high-tech than a Swiss Army knife.

I hate buying for the OH - he's just so hard to buy for!!! Even though I've known him for like EVER I still find it hard to find him stuff for his birthday/christmas etc.
Is there anything he particulalry likes? Something he needs? Or just like Babymare suggest, why not just take him out for a nice meal after your day out at alton towers? (or spend the night there if they still have the hotel...??)

Some really flash sunglasses. All police officers have them these days! (presuming that he already hasnt got some that is!) Best pressie I bought my OH was a surfing weekend (for us both) it was a bit pricey but more because I went too but he loved it and ended up getting his own board etc.

My OH is really hard to buy for too.
The trip to Alton Towers is good but if you want to get him something else then as the others say, a red letter day or maybe vouchers? Amazon or something like that. In fact, they can email vouchers so he would get them on time and he could choose what he wants.

Thatnks for the ideas. I've done the voucher days befor - white water rafting & Zorbing - was such good fun. Maxi yes he has cool SG's (so thats why - it's the PO's fault!!) So I've setteld on - a RC plane (easy to fly and unbreakable one) Pair of trainers - which he will probably take back!! And I've bought a really nice frame for his group police picture from the day he started.
Hmm might have to take PerfectPonies advice though....I'm sure I heard him say he'd love a nice new 6' 6'' lightweight rug.......

I to am sure i heard him say he wanted a limpet pad (ooo err) Ceej - don't do the limpit pad, yes it sticks to their back but it makes them really really hot and brings them out in bumps under the saddle, at least that what mine did on Chompy. It's also impossible to get the hairs out of. I you wanted to try one I would send you mine down to have a go with as I wont use it anymore

sounds a tough one, My OH's has just been I got him coupla CD's (Kings of Leon and Lily Allen (on condition he doesn't listen to it while I am around) A zombie game for Xbox and I cheated and did him a portrait of our cat.
That sounds really nice what you've bought him scatty, a real variety! Hope he likes them.
