Not often that I have something non-horsey to tell you all and I suppose that this is not entirely so, but here goes!
Fal took 5 mins to load prior to a jumping lesson last Saturday. Yeah! Fantastic lesson with a bloke who really knows his stuff and has a sense of humor. Was so chuffed at what she was achieving as she is a bit green, we did do a bit of motorbiking round the arena first til she settled but what scope.
She was then a cow to load. Shooting out the box each time we went to put up the ramp. She even crashed the ramp down which hit my friend in the chest. All I could think was fractured sternum. Luckily she is just bruised. We got her to stay in with a rope around her bum.
Sunday I pottered about until it was time to visit my mum in hospital. Was very organized and did the weeks shop first, then visited.
We have a road up here which is very pretty and us locals use it as a bit of a rat run as it saves about 20 mins from going the long way. It is also a wee bit hilly in places.
So round a bend and down the view point hill, when BANG and lurch. Suddenly donald had no steering or brakes!!! We missed the first car but hit the second one, then scidded off down the hill landing in a bank against a tree.
Thank god we were all ok as the car was not. Wheel got riped off driver door too and all you could see of the footwell was the clutch peddle.
A few cuts and bruises and Liam had a bloody nose but it could have been much worse.
It was apparently mechanical failure, I've seen a photo of the part which went. All in all a bit scarey.
Made life interesting trying to cope with mother getting out of hospital and i think she may have to go back in this week as she has another chest infection.
So that is my nearly non horsey moan.
