Fallible ;D Aka Mairi. Had a great day together chatting horses mostly lol. Fallible rode Mils and put me onboard and showed me a few pointers with her. We had it down to a art within minutes ;D. It was great to see mairi again and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks Mairi and we WILL come to you soon. Txx

Great to have a day like that with a good friend. Have I missed something, though? (I don't get on here as much I used to). I didn't realise that mils was back home with you. You must have got everything all sorted out now with family and animals. I love a happy ending

Things with Mils aren't what they used to be though Caz. I have noticed it but mairi confirmed she isn't well in herself and def not a happy girly atm since coming home. WE will get there though and mairi has given me plenty of tips/advice to get her back to the Mils we all know and love. Tx

Willow was lik this when he came home - it took him a long time to get right again, but one thing I found really perked him up was the global herbs de-tox stuff - it was like it washed all the glum out of him and refreshed him! I know its mainly mental, but if they feel good in the body that comes back quicker - it certainly made a difference to willow - he was much more bright eyed and alert and it helped him out of the depression!.....

Glad Mils is back with you fff, moving around a lot stresses them far more than we think, wish I had known about the de-tox stuff when Chomps was at his worst.

Glad Mils is back where she belongs, I'm sure plently of TLC will soon have her sorted, the de-tox stuff sounds like a good idea to try.

Have her back checked fff, she may have a bit of soreness. This makes them appear under the weather without a reason. I seem to remember her rider was a nervous novice rider and quite large which isnt a good combination for a horses back as they dont absorb the movement too well.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate all your Advice and comments! I will def get her backed looked at! Who would I contact for that? Sorry yes I'm a exp horse owner but never had to have a back looked at lol. It is really heartbreaking to see her like this as it it totally OUT of character for Mils! Have taken some advice and tips from Fallible and got myself very guilty and upset over it esp yesterday after having a night to think it over! Ended up crying in front of the new yard owner who gave me a hug and said I have done the best thing for mils getting her home and not too worry!............Still It was me who put her out on loan so it is my fault! Wish I could be a hard B***H and not get soo emotionally attached! Thanks guys. Tx

fff - I'd recommend a McTimoney chiropractor for checking out Mils's back. They are all wonderful people who really know what they're doing and believe me, their hands can work miracles!!! If you go on www.mctimoney-animal.org/faq.asp?headerid=5 and select your region in the bottom left hand corner (below the big blue box) then you should be able to find your nearest practitioner Hope Mils cheers up soon

Dont be so bloody ridiculous T - you were in a situation where you did what you had to do and you had no idea what a pair of so and so's they were. you have brought Mils home now and all will be well- tell her why you did what you did and explain that she is home to stay with you - sounds daft but they just need to know.

well firstly T I am shocked after all you have said to me you are now deciding she is a different horse! thought last time i spoke to you a week a go she was completely settled and loving her new home or was that a different T I eas speaking to? As for you Brig and Max, how dare you judge someone's weight without even meeting them first and judge someone! I'm not actually a novice but for some reason Mil's scared me and put a serious dent in my confidence which T knew all about after speaking to both me and slinky! In the end I rode her less then a handful of times but thought I was doing T a favor by looking after her for as long as I could. Over the last two months T you have dragged my name through the mud on a number of different forums and it still doesnt seem to have stopped to this day! Mil's took 2months to fully settle at our yard if not longer, seeing that she had been on a yard with only 2 other horses to one with 20! Amazingly it's a big change for the poor mare and she was extremely attached to one of slinky's mares. Maybe she is just missing her friends??? As people have advised you to get her back checked, i'd also get her saddle checked as it no where near fitted her when she was with me! It was to wide from day one and I got a few people to look at it! All I can say is it is amazing how helping someone out gets you made enemy number 1. Maybe I should just be a hard nosed b***h and start slagging people off instead of offering to lend them a hand. Or maybe if I were you T next time I put your horse out on loan meet to someone, meet them and visit the yard to see what your dealing with! Instead of being slanderous on public forums!!!!!

fff, I agree with Maxi, how can you think you did anything wrong, you did what you thought was best for the horse at a time when you needed to do it. As for her back- its just one thing to consider in a long list of possibilities but given the history it doesnt want to be missed. I once loaned a horse out, he was 100% in traffic and he came back and was a nightmare on even quiet roads. You cannot control what happens to them- all you can do is put it right once you get them back. Good luck to you both. RE the back specialist- if you have no joy with the site Spotti recommends- ask about at tack shops etc- someone always knows someone.

Being slanderous Chelle is naming someone and as I haven't mentioned you once only in Thanks I can hardley see where I have slagged you off! If you read my reply's you would see that i said she is just NOT herself since 'coming' back.........it could be a number of different things considering she went from the farm where she grew up to you and then back to me to a completley different yard! She is settled in herself whilst out at grass perfectly well. Her ridden work is the problem she is lethargic and unhappy! The saddle is fine on her as I have the fitter out every year as well as friends that are more than qualified to tell me if they think it is too wide! You told me it tipped you forward too much on her? It dosent do it too me or the other two extremely exp riders that have ridden her! I'm quite lucky in that the other livery at the new yard deals with backs too so I got her to have a look last night! She is and always has been extremely attatched to Magic and they are in together atm so I hardley think missing her friends from your yard of two months is the problem as she and magic have been together 9years! I think your determined to think every post I make about MY horse is aimed at you too make you look bad..........that is soooo UNTRUE! It's obviously a crime to be concerned about the love of your Equine life and wants what's best for them! if soo...........I'LL HOLD MY HANDS UP to that one!

Did not mean to make you cry or feel guilty! Your circumstances were beyond your control and at least you have everything sorted out so that Mils is back where she belongs, with you. As you say there are lots of reasons why Mils is not firing on all cylinders. You have owned her for a heck of a long time, you know all her little foibles and what makes her tick. Some horses just do not thrive when transplanted elsewhere. I find horses are a huge emotional commitment. I glad that you think some of my ramblings were of some help. I know i seemed to talk alot that day, but hey why change the habbit of a life time!

Good thing I was able to sit down for an hour in the train! Talk abut rolly polly, that was my tummy! At least i walked it off the next day, Liam spent 4 hours dragging me round the Imperial War Museum. Will treat you to some good quality butchers haggis when you come up and I have in mind a very nice highland mare for you to ride out on. You can visit Maxie too

fff she will settle with time. It's clearly been a big upheaval for her particularly as you have had her so long. Sancy got stressed when I went away for 3 weeks once and she was still on the same yard with the same people (aww she does love me really!) so it just shows how emotional they can be.

Oh god Mairi you didnt tell her where we live did you?
*starts packing bags to move*
Joking hun!! how is mils? I know someone who will do a tarot reading for you if you PM me I can pass details - she was spot on with Max.
It just may take her time to get back into being proparly ridden again so take it easy- on her and on yourself.
