Hacked Gem out today, alone.
Had a few spooks - quad on way out and way back, some orange tape stuff (the big fencing stuff they use at roadworks) over a XC jump, and also surrounding a man hole (which she stopped then tried to spin away from but nothing fast) but all her spooks consist of is stopping (suddenly) and staring until her head drops and its good to squeeze her on.
Hacking is her forte ... why do i insist on trying to change her?

Just found this and hey - it sounds like good news? Do you mean she is not doing anything violent, just standing still or trying to turn around when she spooks? If so, this is a step forward isn't it? This is what Paco used to do a lot. Some things he just would not pass at the beginning. So when I was sure he was still (and not going to run away), I would get off and lead him past the scary gates/cement mixer/parked car and get on a bit later when the snorting had faded away ;D With time, he learned that although he was scared he could trust me to keep him safe and now he will go past anything (he is still petrified by arc welders and I have to dismount to get him past those). But the standing still thing is a big improvement on the spin and bolt! So well done you!

Oh when i first got her, spinning at top speed and leaving also at top speed was on the agenda... But no, what i meant was shes so good on hacks, even when there are spooky stuff, shes just chilled...put her in a dressage arena and she hates it... why do i both trying to make her like it?

Well at least if you continue to do dressage you know you can go for a lovely hack afterwards and forgive each other!!!!! Brig

Not on the same day if shes like she was on sunday, eugh i chucked her in her stable and walked away ... we dont get on when im in a bad mood, so its best that i dont upset her even more, and i just limit my contact with her until ive calmed down...
