i'm a bit confused. are you meant to add bluechip to your usual hard feed eg mix beet and chaff or just feed it on its own in place of a mix. ( it's a fed balancer for those not in the uk ) any help gratefully recieved

You can do either. Depends why you are feeding it. Murph has soaked hay and a handful of low grade alfalfa as he's a porker. So other than the grass, his feed is pretty low quality so he has the balancer to make sure he's getting his full quota of vits and mins. I mix it in with the alfalfa.

I don't use blue chip as it is expensive but do use the Baileys balancer, as per Jo mine are porkers so they get i with just a handful of hi-fi lite chaff basically to stop them bolting it.

Does it make a real difference? I've seen the pics that Blue Chip use to advertise - the before/after but does it really condition them that well? I've never known anyone that uses it.

a week later and the blue chip has completly blown his brain and turned him into a head shaking chargy nightmare. he is a rescue that came from the meat man and so is quite poor ,didn't want to have to feed him tons of hard feed. i'l have to try cool mix !!!
