I don't know if you remember Noble has had some bad luck this winter with shoes and celulitis/mudfever anyway his latest trick was to fracture his splint bone! More box rest. This happened in mid dec but ive have been really busy trying to keep him happy and occupied so haven't had a chance to update you. Anyway good news (for me maybe not Noble) he has the all clear to start work again. YEAHHHHHHHH!

Wooo! Bet you want to wrap him up in cotton wool though now so he doesn;t get hurt again! Good luck with bringing him back into work and I'll keep my fingers crossed that he doesn't get hurt again

Yeah I'm really scared to let him back out in the field but I know I have to do it sometime. I think I'll work him first then put every type of boot I can find on him! I think he did it being an idiot in the field in the first place so fingers and toes crossed.

I know some vets advise sedating them a little before the first outing in the field to stop the mad running and bucking. I think you working a bit first is a good idea. Good luck, I'll keep everything crossed and a karma for luck

What a nightmare! And what bad luck - horses go mad in the field all the time but don't break anything. Do you think he stood on a stone? Anyway, fingers and everything crossed .....

Hi did as I said worked him then put boots on and took the plunge and let him out for half an hour last night. Bless he wouldn't leave my side to begin with. As soon as he sensed freedom though he did a full gallop twice round a ten acre field then found a big pond in the middle and splashed water all over head to toe. He was a right mess when I brought him in but this morning his leg felt good no more swelling or heat, same again this evening. Brilliant!
