Never used them myself but have heard wonderful reports. Also Very intriged to try them myself but I know my OH would refuse point blank to be seen with them on and I'm having enough probs getting him in the saddle at the min.....

I've heard about them, but never though about trying them, I can see how they can be soothing though, aslong as my numpty of a horse doesn't spook at them I do think they're quite pretty as well...

I have heard of them and have heard good reports. I did think about getting some for AJ but as I think he would rip them off I decided against wasting the money, I would though if I didn't have a horse with a mouth fettish! Zx

Well so far you're all saying they sound good and have heard good things about them so maybe I'll just give them a go and then report back to you all and let you know how we get on

Jack, I should imagine so - they're pretty much just bells and beads on a piece of string/leather so I bet if you told them how long you needed it to be then they would make one up specially

Right, just orderd some from ElatedEquine (www.elatedequine.com) and they should be here within about 6-10 days as they're coming from America. I designed my own and its being made to my desired length (so Jack, you could have some made specially too ) so all I've got to do now is sit back and wait for them to arrive. Will let you know how we get on with them

Well I am looking forward to hearing how you get on with them. i think they look really pretty but have to say I am a little skeptical of how they can do anything but look pretty and sound nice. (Which are good things of course). Looking forward to being persauded otherwise and to the pictures of course!

I thought I'd be skeptical too, but since Faith is not what you'd call a 'normal' horse I figured I should keep an open mind and give them a go...after all, singing at the top of my voice gets her walking to the beat of the song (the slower the better when she's hyper lol) so why should pretty beads and bells be any different? Not too sure I'm convinced about the whole colours-changing-moods thing but the beads I've designed should work wonders if they really do work I'll definitely get some piccies and attempt a short video of her in them when they arrive and let you know what happens

*************UPDATE**************** They've arrived! Finally! Just tried them on her and I think its safe to say she likes them! After an initial sniff and a jingle (well, its more of a pretty tinkle really), she lowered her head and practically put them on by herself. She didn't seem bothered in the slightest about them being around her neck, or about me faffing with them to see if she thought the noise was scary, and then when the time came to take them off, she didn't want me to!!! She kept raising her head (not in a nasty way) as if to say, "But muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum...just 5 more minutes...pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? *cue cheesy grin and fluttering eyelashes*". I can't wait to try them out when she can actually leave the stable and move around again! If tonight is anything to go by then I think they might help keep us relaxed Not sure how the colour thing is supposed to work, but they look very pretty on her anyway and sound beautiful (and will sound even better if she has them on whilst trotting down a road...we'll sound like santa and his sleigh!!! ) so I'm not too fussed if they don't technically 'work' - Faith likes them and I do too...can't wait to give them a proper trial

Yay!! I look forward to hearing how they work out. She likes to look pretty so it's no wonder she didn't want to take them off. I can just imagine her prancing about showing them off and literally saying 'Look at me, look at me'. Bless her.

I bet she will do just that when she gets the chance! We played about with them again this morning (we're getting quite a fan club for them lol) and she did the exact same thing - sniff, put them on by herself and then didn't want them to come off again!!!! She's so funny - you really have to see her do it to believe just how funny she is...she gets a sort of glint in her eye and then holds her head up nicely to show them off! (a bit like we would stick our chest out a bit with a new necklace or top or something). Got the chiro coming out soon so hopefully we'll be able to start doing atleast something and let her wear them whilst moving about...I'm so excited! I must remember my camera when we try them out properly for the first time

Yes I want pictures too. They just sound so pretty that I am tempted to get some (sorry, have yet to be convinced they do anything - but I will be happy to be convinced!) Would it be fair to put them on boy horses?

Hey guys, sorry I've only just seen this! The ponio is out of action for quite a while but will be doing plenty of inhand walkies so will remember the camera and get some snapshots of her looking pretty (will also upload those pics of her new hair do too when I get a chance). Duckles - yes, I think boy horsies would like them too - just maybe not ones with pink beads on lol Will go dig out some batteries now and take some piccies later for you
