Since he has not actually jumped - other than out a hack over the odd log - for 7 months thought we better get some practice in before we go xc in 2 weeks. He was sooooo good ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D taking me to the jumps and really keen and happy. Stopped after 20 minutes as it was enough for him and didnt want to push him. My seat needs some work I am so loose but I have not jumped for so long either! at the end was getting a bit better but i need to tighten up and wait for the jump a touch more. still i am a happy bunny   ;D The proof! uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4o2MZ09KQQ |

woooo hooooooooo! fantastic! and he landed in CANTER after the fences, absolutley fantastic. Oh, lovely moving music too, as a fellow trotter owner seeing a trotter do so well over jumps then canter nicely away fair brings a tear to the eye. Can I ask, I like the look of your grid, how far apart is each element? (And how far apart should I have them for a 15.3HH should i care to try copy your achievment ) |

there is 21 feet between the fences and the placing pole between the 2 fences is in the middle. the placing pole in front of the first jump is 9 feet.
that distance should be fine for Mo but play with it and see what it feels like and play about with the distances

Id like to wear burgundy breeches but my legs are too fat- would look like two bratwurst had escaped from the local sausage factory! fortunately yours dont!

He has a lovely attitude- great video- makes me want to go jumping (watching other horses always does) hope you take your cameraman or camerawoman to the x country

wow that was really good. and you do the same as me - still leaning forwards on landing. as it happens me and bloss did some jumping yesterday and i roped a willing victim along to film it - she did really well and jumped smooth for once and i concentrated on keeping my legs still and in the correct position so i dont look too bad, will post em for you when i can be bothered to move.

wow that was really good. and you do the same as me - still leaning forwards on landing. ! yup and leaning fat too far forward for the height of the jump and not bending from the hips. everyone should video themselves it is such a great learning tool. |
