After really suffering with my nerves and a lack of confidence I finally seem to be getting there. Hacked out this morning and went a different route which was worrying me and we got home in one piece with big smiles. AJ was on his toes and quite tense at times but I stayed relaxed and he was great! Had several long trots and i even felt I could've contempated a canter! You cannot believe what hard work this has been and I just want to thank all my friends on here and at home for their support and encouragement, I couldn't have got this far without everyone

Sounds like all the congrats going are due to you Zara - you've put a lot of hard work into this confidence thing and it's paying off. WELL DONE!!!! Have a karma!

Well done, every time you come back safely it gets easier until you actually enjoy the thought about going out. Well done you, overcoming nerves is not easy!
I bet the next thing we will hear is that you are about to do your 1st endurance ride with AJ, just wait and see...
humm wonder what the odds would be for Zara and AJ to do an edurance/pleasure ride in 2009?
