Nissan Navara

Having trouble finding a decent Hilux. Anyone got anything to say (good or bad) about the Nissan Navara pick-up?

In a nutshell- No
But nissan tend to make really reliable, long lasting (if not too exciting ) cars so I guess their pickups could be good
mitshusbhi jeeps are brilliant in my opinion and they have a pick up version. Toyota have good reputation as well. I love my Discovery(though not a pick up)

Thanks Duckles ;D I've been advised to steer clear of the Mitsubishi as it's supposed to be thirsty. The Disco, alas, is altogether too posh for me (and you can't get a round bale in it....)

My OH has the Hilux and thinks it's the best vehicle he's ever had. Sorry I don't know anything about the Nissan.

Well darn it Kitkat, that's exactly the problem! Everybody thinks they are brilliant and they are a bit hard to find at little prices!

hi ya, nissan's are good (the older ones) some of the newer one's are not so good,
we've got a a nissan navara pick up and it's great never broken down body work is very good (for a 2000 model) if you do get 1 DON'T BUY A NEW OR ONE THATS 3 YEARS OLD as they have no end of problems (uncle works for nissan) and they do about 35mpg which is very good for a 4x4 but then the huilx is very good and the do about the same mpg.
i would stay away from mitsu as my pajero only did 22mpg (on a good day) and so did are l200 pick up too. but they were good and relible car/4x4. hope that helps in 1 way or the other!!

Thanks for that Marie! It's great to get 'inside' knowledge. ;D In fact, My OH has taken the decision for me and bought me a hilux!!!!!!! How lucky am I ?

thats ok racaille and i would say that's the best 4x4 to go for too, you lucky person!!
