I hate the stupid thing! I hate bidding on stuff becasue someone always outbids me at the last second...and wins by about £2!!! Really stresses me out, especially if its something I actually wanted (like a saddle! Grrr)

see I just say well thats what I am prepared to pay end of story. If you went £3 more the other person would go £4 and you end up getting carried away.
I am still looking for saddle - ceej's is going to be too narrow methinks put there are hundreds on every day so will have to have patience.
I HATE WAITING FOR ANYTHING!!!!! sorry ...erm... yes patience thats the key.

Well I normally only 'buy it now' as its sooooo much less stressful, but I thought I mihgt get a bargain if I'd bid on it (which I would have done - saved over £70 - if that darn other person hadn't outbid me). Oh well, never mind. There'll be another one soon (not like its an emergency 'cos even though Faith is practically rideable again, I think I've got 3 slipped discs in my spine so no doubt I'll not able to ride for aaaaaaaages . But hey ho, such is life)

my one piece of advice... never log onto ebay when drunk! (i'm speaking from experience here....) Once the red wine kicks in I get all competitive bidding and seem to forget its real money!

a dress that sounded nice but when arrived resembled a nightie, it looks dreadful! live and learn.
also, i have drunken bid on a saddlecloth which is probably more than its worth. the auction is still going for another hour, i keep checking it in the hope someone has outbid me.
the best thing i have bought is a KK sprenger ultra bit, its fabulous, moo likes it as its nice and gentle, and i like it as its all gold and shiny! A green silk wrap dress from coast is lovely too and way cheaper than from the shop.

I leant a valuable Ebay lesson a few years back. Always check how much it is retail. After biding on and losing 3 auctions for a part for my motorbike I gave up and decided to buy it from the manufacturer direct. I had bid £10, £12 and finally £17.50 and when I phoned my KTM dealer I nearly died, £7 to my door!!

Oh yes as soon as I have a drink I suddenly think of some random thing like a song I liked years ago or a top I saw someone wearing the other day, or a film I saw years ago and suddenly get the urge to go online and buy a few of them...

Have been looking at torsions and the likes but have come to dislike them (sat on one in Robinsons and was very disappointed at how uncomfy it felt!) so have been keeping an eye on some 'easytrek' ones and have got one of those...sort of arranged it all with the seller away from ebay, so I might have got a western-ish one, or I might be getting a more tradional-looking one...who knows! All part of the fun though 'eh? (I know they're not some well known brand, but they sound good, have heard good things about them and I really need a saddle! Besides, I'm getting another Dr Cooks (style) bridle out of it so now I've got a spare! Anyone recommend a good dressage girth? Or treeless pad? (it says you can use a normal numnah/quilted pad, but we'll see...)
