Heya!
Tarmi and I are going to some mountain and moorland classes, but i need a tweed jacket. I have a plain black dressage/jumping type. Would that be ok? or shall i buy a tweed one?

Tweed looks better (and is also more 'correct') although I think ive seen people wearing black or navy. It really depends on what looks best with your horse. Take a good piccy of Ptarmigan and then take it to the shop so you can see what colour looks best next to her. From memory I think tweed will look better on her. tweed is "correct" but if it is low level then i don't think anyone will mind.
i have a tweed and a black jacket and i prefer to use my tweed in showing classes
i have a pic somewhere will dig it out

i have a blue twees and looks ok with bloss i think (im not sure as ive only worn it the once when on/near bloss and didnt have anyone with me but it is what was recomended for college.

You really need a tweed jacket. I have a nice one which I can't use. OK I got too fat.  It is blue herringbone & looked really good on Travers, who is dark, like Ptarmigan. It is about size 36 and in very good condition You are very welcome to have it if it would be any use. No cost, I believe in recycling. If you would like to send me a PM then I can send it. Wu  |
