ugh shires!!! i got a pair of shires boots and the heel fell off - had to get it nailed back on again but happened again. Also happened to a girl down at the stables she took her boots back 3 times with the same thing happening over and over again.

Ive got a few bits and bobs from shires, theyre ok i guess, but the rugs dont suit any of our horses and they dont go big enough for Eddie!

Shires are cheap and cheerful but I think you get what you pay for.

Thing is, the list is so general, i have favourites for every different aspect of horses. Feed - D&H and dengie, boots - ariats, jods - phoenix/gorringe, rugs - fal ... its difficult to find something overall cos they dont all do all round horsey stuff.

Booby - is the poll restricted to one vote per person? coz you can change it to have more than one... ;D I think I am going for ariat because my ariat boots were simply the BEST horse item I ever had (they finally gave up the ghost at the w/e and let the water in, but they have been four years HARD labour and I mean all wetahers everything you could imagine. Cant afford a new pair..

Wot... No IV Horse?!? I've said before that I love their gear, loads to choose from and easily better quality than Shires. Can't believe neither them nor Mountain Horse are on this list!!

Its so hard to vote as I like a few different brands, but for different things! If I could I would vote... Feeds: only thing I use there is Saracan chaff Rugs: Mark Todd Clothing (me): Musto and Harry hall Boots: Shires chaps! Toggi boots (also love the Mountain horse boots...but dont have them! .. ) etc etc See...I just can't choose 1!!! lol

I use IV Horse Mane and Tail stuff, shampoo and fly spray etc but I didn't know they did "clothing".
I didn't see WB on the list so I chose other but like a few other pollsters said I use different brands for different things. I like WB rugs, Jeffries or Stubben leather work, Roma, Nu-med or Pollypads numnahs/saddlepads, Toggi or Joules tops, Musto jackets and Dublin or Pikeur breeches. Boots are also Toggi or Dublin.
Different stuff coming out all the time too so it is worth looking - contrast and compare... ;D

;D ;D ;D - I bet jimmyjambo has been sent by those and such as those at YH mag, someone in the adverts dept, just to wind us all up. Probably on commission to get sales for IV Horse products.. RM PS Just a wee confession coming now, it took me ages to work out that IV meant for..........I kept calling it iv as in IVY.......

Haha@Haffyfan! The amount of their stuff I use I bloomin' should be!!
Like Maximum said, Shires are cheap and cheerful - I've always liked the IV Horse stuff more because they've always been kind of an 'underground' brand (I've always had a bit of rebel in me...) and do so much stuff. When I tell people they do more than just grooming stuff they are quite surprised.
I'd go for either IV Horse, Mountain Horse or Airowear if they were up there. AW body protectors are great.
