Now Maxie...what the heck is a tattie scone or a gridle scone scones made out of potatos, scones made with grannys girdle? 250 g all-purpose flour 10 g baking powder 6 g salt 45 g cold butter or margarine 210 g mashed potatoes (prepared with milk and butter) 80 ml milk 1 egg READ REVIEWS (1) Review/Rate This Recipe Save To Recipe Box Add to Shopping List Add a Personal Note Post a Recipe Photo Post a Favorite Food List Create a Menu DIRECTIONS In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles cobottom crumbs. Combine potatoes, milk and egg; stir into the crumb mixture until a soft dough forms. Turn onto a floured surface; knead gently 10-12 minutes or until no longer sticky. Gently pat or roll dough into a 9-in. circle about 3/4 in. thick. Cut into 10-12 wedges. Separate wedges and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. thats the ones I make!! gridle scone are made on the gridle- like a flat metal plate- and are not as sweet as scone scones

I know Paddington eats marmalade, but in the adverts for marmite, he eats a cheese and marmite sarnie (gives a bit to the pigeon who nearly chokes - lol - 'you love it or hate it') and in the newer one he has a ham and marmite sarnie.
Speaking of which, did you try it Mae?
