;D It's been a while since I rode Racaille (been busy with Gospel) but took him out on a hack this morning with a nice lady and boy, is he wonderful!!!! ;D He's grown a bit, in bulk and height - although he needs another centimetre to be a horse - but despite being a titch he 'feels' right (I don't like horses with narrow shoulders) and is unbelievably comfortable!! He was super whizzy but not naughty. Something, I'm not sure what, happened the first time I asked for a canter, I lost a stirrup and I'm not used to his light composite ones so I gave up feeling around for it and just sat down and enjoyed the blast. It was all such fun I am still grinning (even though faced with the most unutterably boring work this week). I even found his Wintec comfortable! The best news is that, despite my fears, I am not too big/heavy for him. Yippeeeee!!! ;D

Yep, I think that too...more piccies please!
And brilliant that he's not too small for you - does that mean that you could possibly train him up to do the things you've always wanted? (like dressage?)

Oh go lose those few pounds - he sounds worth it! Seriously, i am sure you are by no means heavy for him and I can kind of understand your excitment- bringing on a young hourse is really a wonderful series of achievments and highs. And yes, photos would be nice.

You're quite right, I should lose more than a few pounds But I've just quit smoking (about a month now) and it's pretty hard to give up everything! The evening glass or two of wine should go, I know

Racaille- I was joking about the weight. I've seen photos of you and of him- no way are you too big- I think we all get a mite over concerned about our babies at times. Just go for it!! He sounds a total pet and a pleasure to ride

hell yeah! And well done with giving up smoking. I gave up nearly two years ago after being a pretty heavy smoker for 10 years (all my adult life). Hardest and best thing I ever did.

*sigh* This is the third time I have given up the f*gs. (Twice when I was pregnant, for five years each time). The bad news for me is that I never lose the taste. I always always fancy one when I'm in a bar or with a glass of wine in my hand....... But re young horses, I keep wondering when the 'challenging times' will start. He is too perfect. That is not bragging as I haven't had a lot to do with his backing (except to slow it down ;D) but he just seems to be unfazed by stuff. The YO has 'ordered' one of siblings, assuming there is one up on the mountains .....
