Fire is a tough hardy sort and he lives out all year with shelter. He grows a thick wooley coat. When we are forecast heavy rain, gale force wind etc, I just pop a rug on him (much to his disgust). He's got a master rug atm but its huge around the neck. I'm looking at shirres rugs cos they seem to be suited to finer types. do I get him a lw summer turnout or the winter one? (300/400g of filling being the difference) I just wanna keep him dry really. The winter ones have tapered seems, which are meant to be more weatherproof, but i don't wanna over heat him....and now I'm just confused

if he's hardy and isnt clipped i'd go for the lighter one- easier for him to produce a bit o heat than to cool down! xx
