;D I did the biggest jump I have ever done on Chompy and cleared 88cm ;D ;D
he was doing really well and clearing all my normal 70cm ish fences with ease so I decided to put the upright (planks as well so very scary) up to the next rung which said 88cm.
I had to ride to it saying 'its no bigger... its no bigger... its no bigger" and I conned myself and Chompy into thinking it wasn't any bigger and so rode it positively and he scraped over it the 1st time, knocked it down the second and cleared it the third, but now I know he can do it and without too much difficulty too.

Thanks guys Chompy is a different horse these days, the sponsored ride did wonders, he seems to have decided that the world is fun again and is not going to fall apart around his ears if he is away from home for any length of time.
Chomps' list of favourite activities seems to go like this:
1) eat
2) Sleep/stand still/grooming
3) oooh stubble field... Whey Hey...!
4) ooohhh jumping.... fun!
5) OK plod around the countryside on a loose rein
6) I HATE dressage....

Mmmmm, sound like my perfect horse ;D cant quite see you taking him round a ODE, he would give it his all, but his feathers would slow him down even more (as he is not the quickest anyway) after the water jumps |

He's just like D and everything in the same order, and they are the same colour too. Great fun. And dont they just feel fab when they decide they can jump a bit. But the dressage thing... if only we could harness thoughs moves, you know the ones they do automtically when they are feeling naughty and want to play X

Chompy just gets better and better! Well done to you both- a few months ago poor Chompy was a nervous wreak who wouldn't/couldn't hack or load or compete - now look at him! The work you are putting in is really paying off - without sounding over the top, you really are an inspiration Fimacg! Have a karma.
