Although currently the URL has the paddocks in it, thats not the official name of the forum...its official name at the moment os 'Message Board' - see above...
At the risk of sounding patronising (sorry if it does) Think carefully when you pick; think how you would view the name if you were trying to find a forum to join and what the google search engines are likely to find (so not sure Stealth and Secrecy, although an ace name, would attract many newbies!!.
We have a few boys on here so sorry, I havent included the lady orientated ones - as much as I liked hags with nags!!

I like the paddocks...its horsey, but not too OTT. If you google'd 'horsey forums' then 'The Paddocks' would sound like a good place to come...if I wasn't already here then I'd join!
I think some of the others are a bit too obscure, and some are too much like YH, and we don't want that now do we?!

No i dont think you can change the URL, so I have voted for the paddocks coz its what we have been shouting all over the place!! I feel like it has really become the paddocks..but it is everyones choice of course....  |

It s a great name Ceej. I wouldnt hold your hopes to high of Google helping out much in the near future I have spent months and fortunes tuning our new site for SEO and all the experts are telling me 6 months at least. Spreading the word is the best way I am sure.

Its takes ages for a new site - not so long for chnages to an up and running site...I agree we cant rely on that for some time!!! have you considered adwords until your site is up and running? Pricey tho.. |

We will be using adwords which is as you say pricey but if its done right well worth it and going one better, we are doing TV ads for Horse and Country TV. Even more expensive but well worth it I hope!!!

I like our horse. But seeing as there might be no way to change it I suppose The paddocks aint too bad. I do quite like it, plus I agree with ceej that the paddock is what we have been shouting about lol (I did vote for our horse though, I didnt read the replies first!) |

I like the paddocks but i don't know if it will come up that well in a search - could you have the Horse Paddocks or something like that? I'm voting for it anyway although the Mutineers has a nice romantic rebel kind of ring

If you want to mess with the YH crew ( I no histiry in this or any row with them) you could register several other domains and forward them all to The Paddocks then pop them in as links.

That's a very good idea.....we could also set up a freewebs site with maybe your horse forum in the domain (if not taken) and a link here?
They do come up in google searches after a while if you tag them right!
