The next dog i find wandering the street i work on i swear to go i am going to take home!
This has got to be the third time in as many months i have found a dog wandering along the pavement, one even ran into the road. Me being an animal lover cannot just leave the poor buggars.
so i trudge the houses trying to find where they live. When i find the right house there is no "awww omg thank you" or "goodness you silly dog get in here, thank you so much". The usual response is a dirty look (along the lines of meddling cow what's it got to do with you type look) "yeh it lives here" then a door slammed in my face
So i spend my lunch break or half hour after work 'helping' someone who doesn't give a poop!
i'm not doing it anymore! Ungrateful twats!

Becca, I know just how you feel!!! But it's just as well you don't live near me or we'd both be wandering around like prats trying to find 'not bothered' owners ..... The hunting season has started here and there are lost hunting dogs absolutely everywhere (they are kept in cages all year, until the hunting season, then they are let out and the owners wonder why they don't come back when called? ) The last dog I took back to its owner was a really sweet bitch that I took a great shine to, but I did find its owner many kilometres away. Was he grateful? Was he even bothered? The next one I find stays with me, although I already have three at the moment ...

Why are people so careless with their animals. My dads cat got killed by a dog that was just let out to roam the estate. That was awful enough but if can do that, what can it do to a child. He took it back to the owners and told them what it had done and he just got the same reaction. Grunt and door slam!

Its all to easy. They get the latest cute designer accessorie and as soon as it grows up, is not so cute and a bit more inconvienient, they don't want to know. Let alone god forbid the fact that they could walk them. Oh dear pet hobby rant!

Well one of our neighbours back home had this horrid dog that they never seemed to walk, always left in the house all day with the run of the ENTIRE house (so as I'm sure you can imagine, it barked at EVERYTHING) and when it did come out of the house, they had no control of it at all. Anywho, when we were away on holiday, apparently the dog managed to escape the house and chased my cat, getting her in its mouth and then the owners didn't even do anything to stop it! AND to make it worse, they didn't even tell us it had happened...we found out from another neighbour who was concerned about her. Luckily my cat has thick fur and wasn't too injured (just a bit sore I think), but imagine how mentally scarring that would be for a poor little puss cat I'm glad to say those neighbours have now moved and my cat is happy to go outside again, but just the cheek of it! What would they have done if their dog had killed poor Midy?
