I've broken my pony and now need a chiropractor. Her pelvis has gone out of line again and needs re-positioning before it gets too bad. Anyone know a good chiropractor that covers the lincoln area?
Desparate! Please help!

She was a nice lady, seemed to know what she was doing but Faith still isn't quite right...I've seen her with her pelvis out of line for too long now to know when its not right, and that's not right. SO we're off home in just over 2 weeks to get our chiropractor to put it right again (but I've got to try and convince my vet that Lisa, the nice McTimoney lady who I already know and have heard great things about, is better than the woman he's trying to persuade me to use because he knows her and hasn't heard of Lisa - surely he's heard of McTimoney though? ) Anywho, Faith is still a cripple and is still residing in her stable because I daren't let her out with all the new uni horses yet because I don't want her running/bucking/kicking etc and doing herself even more damage! She will go out eventually...just not quite yet...

Spotti, have you rung Lisa? She's based in Derby and I know she covers a huge area, ring her and she may see Faith in Lincoln or at least recommend someone without having to take Faith home Zx

Spotti, I really feel for you as I've been down this road, I'm still going down this road. Chiro has been out 5 times already this year and JB still not right but I believe he will be fixed. I'm given loads of exercises to do to strenghten muscles to hold the re positioning- . Good luck , keep at it- you will get there

zara - I've already tried that. She was my first point of call and unfortunately doesn't do lincoln, but she did recommend I try the McTimoney website but after phoning practically every person on there, I STILL need her to come and sort us out. The lady who came was supposedly McTimoney (hence allowing her to come) but she did things differently to Lisa and doesn't appear to have made anything worse, but I think she focussed more on Faith's neck and shoulders (she jarred them in the whole 'Oh look a pile of mud. Lets stop dead and watch mummy go splat' episode) but her pelvis still isn't quite right, hence getting Lisa to work her magic again. Duckles - I completely know how you feel, although JB might be worse off than Faith but I can sympathise totally in the fact that being 'not quite right' is a pain in the bottom. Faith is always 'not quite right' - there's always something wrong with her! But like you, I'm still holding out hope that she will come right some day...at the minute though, I'd even be happy if she came right but couldn't be ridden. I'd still enjoy her even if all we could do was walk in-hand or longrein (although riding is a bonus, but its not a necessity) - I just want my pony to be happy again I know she will be fixed one day...that day is taking its time to come!!!!

Oh, poor Faith and JB. It must be very frustrating for both of you. I hope they both get sorted out soon, especially before the weather gets too wintry.
