Was reading through the Fugly blog as i havent read it in a long time and i came across a post about tenessee walking horses. I couldnt believe the cruel practices they use to force the horses to perform in the unnatural way they do in the show ring.

Why cant they just break the horse in western or english and train it into a pleasure horse or specialise in something else like jumping or dressage???

Why are people so stupid!! It makes me angry, i cant even put it into words

It is deeply disturbing Fleabitten.....The tail breaking is horrific too.

There was a discussion about it on this forum (linked to a book about Standardbred showing) and a shocking link that justifies these practises for you to have a look at. You will neeed to scroll almost to bottom and then onto next page if interested.
