I like pigs too - roast pork and crackling goes down a treat!!! I have got the space for pigs - couple of acres of woodland that I could fence off - but the OH is too dumb to see what a good idea it would be .... I suppose we did have the nightmare goats ... My poor ducks were called Magret, Foie Gras, Chips and Peas. I often have chickens called Nuggets, Lunch, etc just to remind everyone ... then there was the rooster who was always being attacked and injured by predators, whose name was Fried Egg. He came to a sad end. It was inevitable. Fist rooster we ate here was called Victor. I thought the kids would throw a fit but no, they thought Victor was so tasty they wanted to take the hachet to Virgil too ....

I'm too late The Farmer came for them all this morning He took all the piglets, including floppy He's taken mummy an daddy too I didn't know he was ditching them as well I don't think I'll be able to face a Bacon sarnie for a bit Danielsmum - We used to have a land and outbuildings, where we lived before, we had to move quickly and the piggies have been living at OH's lorry yard. (we're not allowed to keep them here) He's developing the site now, so piggies have to go.

;D He survived us but not the stone martin! Still, he lived to a good old age and his son Jet was ripe to take over as Chief Humper. However, Fried Egg's end was awful. OH says: I'm off to despatch the young roosters. Me: Be careful not to do Fried Egg - he's the kids' pet. OH: Right-oh...... *chop, chop, chop.....* OH: OMG OMG OMG!!!! *frantically tries to stick decapitated rooster's head back on* We ate him. Well, what else could we do? But I never told the kids.

Poor fried egg! We had thingyy thingy who the fox got- he was lovely but a little minature so he used to rugby tackle the hens to have a hump! Then we had scaredy thingy who was so timid and gentle- he used to creep up behind the hens and hump them ever so politely- we re-homed him when we moved- didnt have the heart to eat him- he was just too nice!
I want chickens again- why oh why is there a slump in the housing market- I want to move and have a bit of land again!

I've spoken to OH, and he won't go back to get any of them The Sow has already met her new boyfriend in an "over friendly" way. Where they've gone is a small holding, so I'm sure it will be nice for them. (we're going to visit soon ) It's the only time my OH has ever, done anything, when, he said he would "Bl**dy men) ;D
