it is the curse of mother shiptons prophecies.

in around about the 1600's (i think) mother shipton of knaresborough (3 miles from where i live) made three prophecies on her deathbed.

i) metal birds will take over the sky - aeroplanes. how could she have known hundreds of years ago.

ii) the seasons will merge - it has been autumn in august.

iii) knaresborough bridge will fall down - someone nerly made it crumble a couple of years ago but it is still there and we are still waiting for it to happen.

Its got so ridiculous we've had to hire an indoor school just so we can do some riding

The main concern is what the fields will be like for the winter. If the wet weather continues, it could be a very long winter with them all stuck indoors!
