Have got the horse rugs 4 u catalogue (is it any good? rip off or not?) Not sure if we will get them out of the catalogues (robbies etc) or the tack shop - might not even need to get one if Princess ends up being sold but just getting organised. (lightweight as were not going to clip as not going to be doing anything, maybe just a wee spin now and then and to keep her a bit drier and warmer) What makes would you recommend to fit a cobby type pony?

Masta check Tech rugs fit cobs quite well but can be poor quality, Mark Todd rugs also fit the heavier types really well

Doof has had her Weatherbeeta for about 10 years now and its only needed repairing once. Olympic (or Olypian cant remember which) are also good for cobby types - had one for my old Gypsy cob type.

All mine have Rambos - Lu's really quite barrel like and her rambo fits like a glove. I put P's Wug on her last winter for a while and that was a good fit too. P also has a Weatherbeeta which again fitted really well and is cheaper than the Rambos although Amigos are the cheapter version of Rambos.

Another vote for rambo and have heard brilliant reports about premier equine rugs (they have their own online shop). I have only got their fly rug so far but the mid weight turn out is being posted next wk.They are made to a deep pattern so do not look skimpy like some of the makes do.They are brilliantly priced because they are still making their way in the market.A friend of mine has all their rugs for her 17.2 and she says that she ought to work for them as she wouldn't now buy any other brand. I have a lightweight amigo for my chap at the mo, but it doesn't seem fully waterproof and the lining has ripped. He has only had it 3 months, whereas the rambo excell that I had for last horse was still looking good and waterproof after 2 yrs.

Premeir equines are fab, I have the 450g winterbusters...best rugs I have ever bought. Far superior to rambo Duo, w'beeta Taka's and all the other rugs in same bracket (not to mention half the price delivered to your door)
