the horse i used to have on half loan was a strapping 16.2hh IDxTB, he had quite a few things on his list, but the main things were:
shetland ponies donkeys wheelie bins (out on the road on bin day) puddles traffic cones and signs that were not there previously, or that had moved up the road (they are ALWAYS digging up the roads by us) a fally down stone wall where people have moved the stones
my current mare is much more sensible and the only quirks she has are kids on bikes and grates in the road

the best one ever....A bit of mud flicking out from her hoof! lol she freaked out well bad and I couldn't stop laughing!
And people flying kites
...And horses/kids/bikes/dogs etc that try racing alongside you from the other side of the fence! The horses can't see them but they can hear them! God I hate it!! And as soon as you stop your horse bolting off and manage to calm them down the kid or whatever has caught back up with you and the horse is off again! It really does my head in some people have no clue!!

butterflies. Birds flying out of grass or hedges, tractors and cement mixing lorry things, we've gallopped down the road before thanks to one of them! x

Killer pheasants - they're everywhere and have an amazing knack of flying up from under your feet! Also stones, big or small Z

Things that weren't there yesterday (especially a gate that was open one day, but closed the next, or vice versa). Also, someone elses horsebox/trailer...she only likes 'hers' but won't go near anyone elses'! She is silly.
Oh, and bridges-over-streams in the woods that have trolls under them (even though I tell her that trolls only eat goats, she seems adement(sp?) that they will eat her and really doesn't want to cross the bridge incase she gets eaten. Funnily enough, she goes over the same bridge perfectly fine in the opposite direction, or in the same direction but at a trot...
A good, but rather odd, thing she does is walking better from the field if you're pushing a wheelbarrow...who knows what she sees in the thing, but she is much better when I've got my wheelbarrow with me (strange beastie!)

Warrior seems to notice when things are different today than they were yesterday. He'd happily go past a pile of logs, but then some disappeared and they were really scary! Tiny dots on the horizon (usually walkers, cyclists, horseriders, sheep etc) hold a strange fascination for him & he starts to go quicker to find out what it is.

That sounds just like my boys...apart from Murph just likes to stand and stare at the dots on the horizion...he is too wussy to tackle them

Dazzle hates:
a tractor tyre left in a field that he has passed a zillion times and still thinks it will eat him Green wheelie bins (doesnt mind black ones) killer pheasants hose pipes (killer snake) anything in a hedge (plastic bags, crisp packets etc)
But traffic.... anything can go by and he doesnt bat an eyelid.

Paco dislikes things that change on his 'usual' routes - a car parked somewhere it 'shouldn't' be, a gate that's open when it is normally closed ... and then there are the killer pedestrians ....

Killer pheasants, definitely. Birch logs (they are a different colour, for God's sake!). Wild boars. "Bottoms up", namely people busy picking daffs, mushrooms, wild strawberries etc.

Just remembered something else Faith doesn't like...sprays. She doesn't mind them anywhere on her body, but on her mane/near her face and ears is a BIG no no.
And electric fencing (never had it before we moved, and her being a silly billy, tried to eat the grass underneath it, pulled her head up and got zapped on the nose! She won't go any closer than 2 feet away from it now!)

certain blades of grass hiding horse eating monsters -aka she's bored n wants to liven life up! She doesn't really have issues with particular things n just messes if she's in the mood to freak at something.
