I need help again, please. I need a case study for another piece for the Telegraph. This time I'm looking for a mum whose teenage daughter 'vets' what she wears or tells her she's too old to wear miniskirts, bright colours, low-cut tops etc. Photos won't be necessary but I will need a couple of comments on the record. PM me if you have a tyrant teenager!!! Conversely, if you are a teenager who won't let your mum leave the house without checking what she is wearing, I'd like to hear from you too ;D

Not really the same but my mum does come to me to ask if her outfit looks ok. She asks me if she looks too young, if shapes suit her etc. and i will tell her the truth if something doesn't, nicely of course. Plus if i see her walking out and think something needs adjusting eg. belt, button, hair i will grab her haha. But over all she is pretty good

As with maxi, I haven't ignored this, just no experience of it. Thank God!

my mum does sometimes say "omg you can't go out like that" but generally she's ok as long as i don't go out dressed like a slapper she's generally ok

Someone out there must know someone ... I'm not necessarily looking for a complete tyrant, just a teenager who likes her mum to dress 'sensibly'. Or a mum who feels a bit obliged to listen to her daughter's advice ....

Yeah my mum asks for advice on her things, and is always telling me what I should wear! lol I do draw a line in her walking to the shop in pyjama bottoms and pink fluffy slippers though lol not that it always works

I used to know of one lady who dressed really trashy, she wanted to wear it while she still looked "good" in it. Her daughters didn't think nothing of it, it was all thier friends who were horribly embarassed by her. My mum used to dress in what ever she found and looked like a scruff, so i always end up tryin to encourage her to dress nicely. Which she does now shes runnin a buisness. Your a journalist Racaille? Thats so cool

HAHA this is so me and my Mum. She will happily tell me my outfit doesn't work and keep saying something until I feel so awful I go and change! I can tell when she's lying saying I look good when I don't. At the same time, I say things to her like "those shorts make you look 4ft tall... your knees look funny... you cant wear those sandals your ugly toe pokes out... you weren't seriously considering wearing that?" it's not all the time though
