Hi, I went to a Heather Moffett demo the other night and once again she was excellent. During the first part she rode herself and demonstrated the differences between styles of riding and the effect on the horses way of going etc and in the second she had two riders and gave them instruction. The first girl rode a huge shire cross who was a bit reluctant and the improvement in just 20 mins was amazing. The second rider was an instructor himself on his young horse so you couldn't see any reall changes but interesting all the same. I'd certainly recommend going to see her or check out the web site www.enlightenedequitation.com Zx

I did try the Phoenix saddle last year and I was very impressed. It rode just like a treed saddle and was extemely comfortable for me. It didn't however suit AJ and i found it a bit too big for him. teh newer one she has available now looks even better and worth a look but they are a tad expensive Zx

Pity about it not suiting AJ. I got a new saddle last year, fitted by master saddler (who didn't inspire confidence!) anyway I think JB likes it but I never have, so heard about another saddler who will come to where I live so I'm thiniking of getting a 2nd opinion. I think the new Heather Moffet are a bit too pricey plus I don';t think they supply over here.

Ive heard very good reports about the saddles which have the prolite panels, but not so good about the suber as it gives you the perched feeling.
I cant give a personal opinion though as i have unfortunately never been lucky enough to be able to afford one.
If youre serious about getting one id certainly find who your nearest fitter is and give them a call.
I nearly had the opportunity to ride in one of her clinics last year in Sheff, but at the last minute my dad backed out of taking me. Said pony wouldnt settle enough, and it wasnt worth the money... its a shame.
