Been to check my equine family tonight and my little shetland gelding has suddenly gone lame in one of his fore legs . I cold hosed it for approx 5 mins and that seems to have eased it. The lameness seems to be on the outer part of his knee joint, there are no cuts or obvious swelling but it is very uncomfortable for him when I touch it. Has anyone got any suggestions on what this could be I am going to apply some cooling clay tomorrow to see if that helps before I call the vet. Look forward to hearing from you. Sam

if not 20.
it could be so many things I would not even begin to give any diagnoses(is that the plural?)
if its not better and there is no obvious reason for it I would get the vet
