Once upon a time just being english leather meant it was good quality - not so much anymore so you still need to pick a good 'un...
mine is unamed but made in walsall and is lovely strong quality...
why?

Like ceej said, english leather doesn't mean much anymore. Go for a well known brand (I love my albion altho assume they are not english leather and they are wonderful) or find a good saddle maker and have a look at some saddles they've made and see what you think. My friend had a dressage saddle made for her beastie by solitaire saddles (a little company in the midlands - we used to live up there). Its utterly beautiful and wonderful quality, fits like a dream and best of all cost just over £600.

yup falcons are the comfiest saddles ever i can fall asleep sat on brackens just wish it fitted savs so i could nick it
