I know there have been some topics already on sarcoids but I was wondering how long it normally takes for these to go. Ryan has 3 on his belly which are being treated at the moment. My RI couldn't remember the name of the cream they are using but it comes from the vet and costs about £100. That probably doesn't help at all They are back to the plan of downsizing and all bar 4 horses are off to York sales in the next week or so. Ryan has a reprieve until his sarcoids are gone.

It depends what type they are. Bern had some on his sheath that pop out for a couple of months then disappear, but some stay on show for longer some for less (i'm sure they have minds of their own, little beggers) at least he gets to stay for a bit longer, can you not convince them to keep him forever? maybe say people might be put off by the sarcoids so he should stay?

Probably either Liverpool cream or Xxterra. I don't know how long it takes for scaroid to go away with cream but I think it would take at least a month or more (depending on size) for all scarring to go away. I know Brig had it done to Basil and I think (but could be wrong) that it took over a week for treatment and several weeks for it to go away. My horse's sarcoids were removed by ringing and then cream and it all took over 2 months. So a good chance the horse won't be sold for a while because most people won't buy if they see evidence of the little blighters (sarcoids) which I think is what you want!! GOod luck
