I don't think we're going to have that problem here! It's raining again and is forecast the same for the weekend. I could do with some of your hot weather at the moment. But yeah, to do that distance in the heat wouldn't be the best.

just remember to have plenty of water for both of you. I take 2 bottles of water that clip on to the saddle d rings. they are so handy. were quite cheap from robinsons (i think about £5.00) but well worth it. if not, get someone to meet you half way to water you both. very tiring in heat. have fun!!!

got some water bottles , gonna but them in a mini frezer bag that goes on the cantle, horses should be ok as there are 4 river crossings , and they drink out of it in the field

if it was going to be really hot when we were doing long distance (competing or just for pleasure) i used to put the bottles in the freezer over night so they stayed ice cold all day

Sounds great fun. The forecast my way is even hotter, but not sure about where you are. I always wear a long sleeved cotton shirt for long distance in the sun - sunburned shoulders are the pits. I've got a two-dayer coming up in September.
