Few weeks back we popped down the raod for a spot of clear round jumping. Did a lovely calm round but caught a few poles, which is very unusual for him.
Last week we went again, this time he was much more forward and blasted his way round, cleared them all by miles, but I had to circle to manage one of the tight turns as he was whizzing along.
Going again this week; he's always the same in the warmup so I can never guess how he's going to behave around the course.
And the sod has started always landing on the wrong leg - need to get someone to video me or take some pics so I can see if I am leaning to one side or something as he never used to do this so assume its somethign to do with me being a bit stiff because of the nerves. (but cleared a 1.10m jump in last lot of clear round jumping because devious man told me to start the course whilst he put the last fence down and obviously didnt - on the approach I was swearing at him, but had to jump the damned thing as it was part of a combination. That's helped my confidence a bit considering the others were about 70cm)

Ahhhh!! 1m10! That is scary! Why dont you try going back to trot and changing legs instead of over the jump. Maybe he has a sore back?

He's getting his back checked in a couple of weeks as its due about now, but its not always the same leg he'll land on - he doesn't have a favorite side unlike most horses!

if he was a mare i'd say his hormones but hes not! yeah check his back, makje sure you're not tensing up ect.
mine does this too- some days she'll be a star and do two perfect double clears, other days we'll come home with two eliminations after being a complete sod! i blame hormones! x
