Personally I would wear light coloured gloves in like a fawn/beige type colour rater than black or navy but others may tell you different. Goodluck with your showing let us know how you get on.

Brown - your tack should also be brown as well as your whip.

Maybe some light grey to match the jacket?

i think every type of glove has now been mentioned.... i'd stick to something subtle that matches your jacket and belends in a bit, definately not white though as they show every bit of snot and grass, and show all of your hand movements.
as its only local it shouldnt really matter what you wear, they cant expect you to buy a full new set of brown tack for local shows! just look smart and smile, good luck! xx

aww thankyou everyone for ur comments i have decided to go with black for now as i have a black hat, long boots and gloves and all my tack is black
if i do go onto do more working hunter il prob get the correct tack and gloves ect
i just feel if i get brown gloves with all the black i have il look like a rainbow lol i know that sounds weird
also i know i should have a navy hat but i bought a black one with the flesh colour straps a while ago before i thought about doin workers
so hopefully if this year testing the waters in showing if all goes well then i will spend the money on the correct gear

Its light coloured i.e. white or cream for dressage & any subtle colour for showing. Most people wear some shade of brown. Navy isn't really worn for workers either.
Good luck & have fun at the show!
