I really am not going to complain about this weather as it is gorgeous - but it means the haylage tractors are out in force.
we hacked happily past them last night - even though raymond was being a spooky nightmare (not been ridden for three days).
got past the tractors relaxed and turned up the bridleway heading for home and what did I encounter a haylage bale rolling down the hill!! I kid you not! it had rolled off the field, through a wall and was making its way down the bridlepath - now come on that is just not fair.
once raymond stopped running and quivering like jelly - I eventually managed to walk him round it in hand and gave up and headed for home!

I think I would freak out too if I had a blae rolling towards me! Poor Raymond what a thing to ruin your hack.

OMG, sadly only such an event could happen to you and Ray! Poor boy  I reallly feel for him having a Mummy that expects him to cope with sooo much, bet he can't wait for Aunty Rachel to look after him again  Zx |

you know what this means dont you. Ray is going to think that every halage bale is going to run after him. Sounds like your going to have a lot of 'in hand' walking to do till they are all collected in. Why is it things like this only happen to you and zara. Still you always make me laugh with your tales of terror. Its the way you tell em.XXX

lol! They are a damned nuisance but I'm afraid my first thought was with Becca on the 'da da da daaaaaa, da da daaaarr' as u did an Indy Jones of wheeling your horse about, gallopping like mad back down the track, dodging the poisonous darts, jumping the random ditches with spikes in, and skidded to a halt to throw yourself forwards and roll in the air to skid under the falling door at the LAST SECOND.....
...and reach one arm back to grab the reins and nip the horse through after you! YAY! What an adventure! phew!

Lol -I blame the fanta! I should never drink that much colouring in one go! I don't even like the Indy Jones movies! I'm dead centre of Sheffield (no fields or horsies unless I get in the car! ) But ride horses in Bakewell, Troway, Ridgeway (towards Derbyshire), Rotherham n Doncaster...atm! I get around when new ppl contact me! Wher r u based? Wud b gr8 if ther was a horse nr u 2 school as could finally have a hacking companion! |
