Dear all- I have just tried posting this on Your Horse but it will not load (hmmm I wonder why........) I believe they will be having a look at this site so may read this here- hopefully I will be able to get it on one of their topics unless Ive been banned (nothing Ive said so far is contentious so the plot thickens or the site is really having technical problems) Anyhow here it is........
Just tried posting on another page but the darn thing will not load.
Your Horse- can you not see that you are being hypocritical?? Members are not allowed to advertise or promote but its okay for YourHorse to plaster the forum with adverts that do not in anyway contribute to the use of the forum.
I advertise with the horse press and will now not advertise with Your Horse on priciple! I would never use a promoter who employs such aggressive and blinkered tactics. The market place should be a level playing field and not subject to the hypocrasies and whims of people who clearly should know better but dont!
I will contact NAF and let them know what is going on!
Your Horse -there is nothing wrong in saying sorry and putting this right- you have lost good will of genuine horse people- the buyers your advertisers are wishing to reach. I have copied this message and will post it on the Paddocks forum- that way if you delete it then at least your old-departed members will know how you are unable to conciliate!!!!

Sent this to the Editor of Your Horse, just to keep the balance. Im annoyed that I cant post on the YH Forum! Grrr!
Dear Editor
The way your Forum is being handled is causing ill feeling and resentment from the very people you are trying to encourage, both as buyers of your magazine and as a marketplace for your advertisers. Im not sure that the moderators are getting it right both from a people management perspective and a business management perspective.
I believe you need to take action now to prevent the forum 'dying a death'. People dont like change but can handle it provided they are encouraged and supported to do so, Im afraid your current team is not doing this and are inappropriate in their actions to delete/ remove or alter posts and their contact with forum members in trying to suppress the ill feeling and unhappiness that is being generated. Your advertisers would not be happy knowing that your team are driving away the very marketplace they are paying to place.
Please accept this communication in the spirit it is intended- to try to alleviate further problems and encourage Your Horse to apologise and try a retrieval of goodwill! After all the Forum was popular and could be again!
regards

i agree with maxiemum. i just cant stand reading anything anymore, as it is dark and small and it was giving me a headache looking at it. and the annoying adverts were getting on my nerves bouncing up all the time. why do they keep deleting everything that concerns this site? they give links to other horsey products and services so why are they deleting this one?

I too agree with you- the problem for me was that I wanted to reply to a message and was blocked- that does not aid a balanced viewpoint- now it could be due to a technical hitch but I suspect not. So....my dander was up... and when a Brigadier's dander is up its not a pretty site!!!
Hey Mae- you tinker- youre post on YH is fab, as soon as I can send you a karma Im going to- should we become writers?

Well said, I've wrote to a mag about their yard feature. I thought it unfair to call all teenagers bad. I certaintly dont wear strong smelling stuff to the stables, wear a ton of make-up or have brightly coloured hair, nor do i comment or sblack person at other people. I agree with everyone you say - GO YOU!

Theres a message on there now in the etiquette section saying posts are being removed as they are advertising! What a load of rubbish. Well I think everyone is here now? So YH are just gonna have to go jump.
