Cat came and rode Welly and I took Harriet. WE boxed to a friends as the access out my back field is a lake. I must say they must have looked lovely- two greys- both on their toes. As we passed her Black Beauty field (1 black, 1 ginger and a little grey merrylegs) the horses came galloping over- so we had airs above the ground. Harriet was dreamy- thank goodness I had my grab strap though as I dont think I would have sat some of the bigger leaps!
We were just walking given the recent abscess lay off and we planned an hour so given how spooky they were we didnt get very far. A pheasant nearly unseated Cat and we had trouble passing a ride on lawn mower.Harriet thought a brown recycling bin was a monster- but she passed everything. she doesnt like big vans and I can never see her hacking alone- but there was enough there to think with regular outings she will get braver. It was lovely to be out on her again and I had the after ride glow you get when you feel good about something! I love spring- warm sunshine, gentle breezes,no flies! Is there a country like that permanently as I'm emigrating!

Such a beautiful couple of days. Weather set to stay nice. Planning a pretty hack tomorrow myself.

Sounds a bit eventful but you clearly had fun, which is what it's about! Whats a grab strap? I think i need one!

Just a strap that goes from d to d haff you can grab it when they get bouncy so you don't jab their mouths.

If you ever get an air jacket the place the lanyard clips to works in the same way. Libbys make a webbing one.

Sounds blissful - if a little eventful!
