Any experiences? We seem to have a hole in the front of left fore. About 3/4 of an inch deep. Packing with medicated paste at the moment. Always something!

Never a quiet time injury / illness free. They're such a worry; sending hugs.

one of the downsides of barefoot/self trimming Im led to believe. Floss was going that way but my farrier put it right and her feet are fine now. I cleaned the foot carefully and sprayed using hypercare to stop infection setting in so the gap didnt get wider. As the foot flares it seems to make it more susceptible to seedy toe as never ever had a problem previously.

Such bad luck! I've been reading up on it and see there are a number of possible factors involved so I will keep an eye out with my lot, especially Rac who is barefoot. Always something to worry about!

Dexter has a bad case of seedy toe, farrier is gradually digging it out but he looks like he has one cloven hoof at the front. Farrier swears by Terramycin spray, pick it up from your vets, It tracks up inside the hoof killing the bugs, and they use it to know how far it hS spread.
