OK, bit of an exaggeration but if he hadn't had the metal thingy in his gob he would have! We all fell about laughing as every hair on his body bristled with indignation and even afterwards he glared at the poor dentist with hate-filled eyes! 
I don't think he's ever seen a dentist before in his life and was OUTRAGED by the liberties he took!
But it was good news: he has fantastic teeth! And the dentist seriously doubts his age although we are at a loss to understand as the girl who used to ride him when she was a tot is now in her thirties ...
And more good news: he also thought Paco was quite a lot younger than his papers say, he thought he was 15/16. I've looked back through his papers and they were first issued in 2002 when he was probably imported from Spain as a 2/3 year old. It would be quite usual for a dealer to say he was older than he really was in order to disguise the fact that he was backed very young. This would also explain why he was so very green as an 'eight year old' and why he doesn't look like a 19 year old now. I am utterly thrilled!
The dentist was fantastic, definitely (at last!) a keeper. He correctly identified each horse's issues from their teeth (eg Paco resistant on left rein) and Rackers' refusal to accept any contact. Poor Sam - who has seen a dentist most recently - had the 'mouth of a shark' !
