So as not to hijack another thread ... I've sort of become fascinated by LG bitless bridles as they seem to be the bitless of choice for dressage riders who are trying to challenge the no-bitless rule. Paco has a Dr Cook's for hacking and since he's obedient (ie stopping is never a problem ) the head-hug from harsh use is not an issue. But sometimes I go for a trotting and want him to work correctly instead of slobbing along but he seems to find it hard to understand what I want. I wondered if an LG might be better for him? He goes very well in the bendy rubber bit I use for schooling but since he has a wolf tooth which is staying put I don't mind experimenting with other things. Haff - you use one, don't you? Pros and cons? Anyone else?

I think what people like about them is how adjustable they are in terms of pressure and no 'shank' that immediately adds poll pressure- you can choose where to place the nose/back strap and reins to alter the way it works and when the leverage cuts in and they area little more precise than a side pull/scawbrig although can be used to have a similar action to side pull.
