It was great to see WFP finally win Badders again, especially on Chilli Morning (one of my current favourite horses!). Chilli's stud value must have gone through the roof after that!
I watched the xc on the red button and it was great viewing - lovely course that encouraged a good strong rhythm, great ground from the looks of it and good weather. We had thought about going but I decided I needed a sofa day and it was a perfect break! My old YM unfortunately fell but he seems to have generated a new fanbase after giving his horse, Spida, a massive hug as soon as they both got up.
Who else watched it? Sol - I think you were there?!

Yes we were there. The traffic to get in was awful. Left home at 7 got in at 11.45! Normally only 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get there! Really enjoyed the day. Watching It now on catch up to see all the bits we missed!

I managed to watch a couple of hours on the red button yesterday and saw the SJ this pm. Delighted that WFP won!

I've officially got man flu and basically, bar my Oh taking me to horses to sort pen, i hardly got out of bed yesterday or today. Watched all the XC yesterday and it was fabulous, best 'sport' for several years and looked a nice course, not too punishing but enough tricky questions. Only disappointment for me was Andrew missing the title again, not very patriotic but there you go.
Pboy was it the guy with the grey who fell at the Whittaker log...if so i joined that club too. It was one of the loveliest things i've seen in professional equestrianism for quite some time.

I am a massive Chiili Morning fan, have been since he was with Nick Gauntlett. He's a great horse and I'm glad he's proven himself as I think he was a bit of a terror in his younger years. Also a WFP fan and was quite glad AN didn't win though didn't expect him to have many poles down. I'm also loving Mulry's Error - the clydie x. Gives me real hope for Rupey in the future . It was a great weekends sport. For the first time in ages I was watching the showjumping whilst holding onto my seat. I want a go now!

Sol - I'm glad I didn't go in that case! I think hours in traffic would have finished me off HF - I hope you're feeling better! Yes it was the fall at the Whitaker log. Craig is a true horseman and he has an amazing bond with Spida (his horse). He used to sit under the tree in his field just chatting with him...and their preferred jumping style is bareback with a head collar! Craig always wished he could do without saddle and bridle for the SJ as Spida was best that way . He was a big help to me with Pocholo too. BD - ditto on Chilli Morning. It's great to see him reach his potential, he's so classy and very handsome. It will be interesting to see if he passes his eventing prowess to his sons and daughters, particularly as he's the first stallion to have been successful at this level.

Yes i watched about an hour of the XC yesterday and saw some of Williams round - great to hear that he won, hes one of my favourite riders. Did you see Pippa Funnells round? She was really going for it, brilliant riding! I loved Pippa's second round! I hope she gets back to the very top, teams etc. She works so hard and hasn't had the best of luck in recent years.
