This is some footage of last nights session with J the trainer. There's intro B run through (think that's the right test but so out of date could be anything!) and a couple of canters on the right rein. Left rein went a bit crazy but we got there in the end so no video of that as we wanted to end on a good one.
Really need to work on getting her in rhythm and a bit slower as you can see by my fast rise that its all happening rather quickly. On the twenty m circle where you give the rein I really thought she was going to go but I managed to communicate what we were doing and she responded well so hugely pleased. At least she is willing! Need to work on my elegance. I can do it still as on one of the canters I was able to sit into her and get my hands up and look decent but J was filming his foot at that point so there wasn't much point including that...typical!
Any thoughts welcome as always.

Difficult to see vids clear on my tablet, will check it out later on the comp, but from what I saw I thought it was quitegood! I think you would be more frustrated if you couldn't get her going so at least she's got the first step of going from forward! Just have to fine tune the brakes lol!

She reminds me a lot of Pocholo when he first got to the UK - his trot was quite short and we really struggled to maintain the rhythm. Once we did he learnt to step through more and his trot was like a metronome, which allowed me to play with the tempo and his stride lengthened (though unlike Harriet he was always lazy so I had an extra issue!!). I think that as you work through the scales of training she'll settle nicely. Despite that she looks fab and not nearly as speedy as I expected her to look! She goes very sweetly, I hope you're proud of the great job you're doing You should do the same test for Dressage Anywhere and see what a listed judge thinks, I suspect you'll get a good score

Ditto above in that she looks great and actually really established and not as whizzy as i expected, just exuberant. When i say whizzy about pen i refer to the ragged end of the spectrum sadly and her basic schooling is miles behind Harriet, i've got a lot of work to do when her mouths sorted.

She looks really good brig - youve done a good job so far on her schooling she is lovely and round and obedient, but i can see what you mean she just looks like she is buzzing with energy! I can just imagine her having a huge jump in her! Whilst her legs are busy, shes concentrating on you and transitions are really good - from what you said about her being whizzy i thought she was going about flat to the mat! All going in the right direction! She is a beaut!
